Reggie Montgomery and the team
Reggie has been painting and decorating for nearly 30 years, and runs True Colours Decorating with a team of decorators behind him. Between them they take on single rooms and whole houses, the outside walls of homes, and shops, pubs, offices and churches.
Many of the firm’s customers come back to it for the next room, or pass the number on to family and friends. Reggie’s aim is a job that runs smoothly, with clear communication from the first visit to the final clean-up.
A Checkatrade member since 2021
True Colours Decorating joined Checkatrade in November 2021. Since then customers have left 210 reviews, for an average of 9.84 out of 10, and 13 of those reviews come from Lisburn’s BT27 and BT28 postcodes.
The firm is fully insured, quotes are free and there is no obligation. Paint and materials are supplied, and Reggie is happy to help you choose colours and finishes.

Landing and stairs10/10
We are delighted with our landing and stairs. Everything was stripped back and repainted, and the whole space feels new again. A dependable team that does quality work, and I am happy to recommend them.

Main bedroom and en-suite10/10
Thrilled with our bedroom and en-suite. The painter was really friendly, worked to a very professional standard and left everything spotless. True Colours will be doing any painting we need from now on.

Walls and ceilings10/10
Quick answers whenever we had a question, and a fair price with nothing added on at the end. Two polite, skilled decorators did the work and cleared up completely afterwards.

Short-notice painting9/10
We needed a decorator quickly, and Reggie had part of his team with us only days after the quote. The work was quick and the finish was excellent. Very impressed.

Clear about the costs from the start, friendly lads, great communication, and the house was finished sooner than we expected.

Exterior of a detached house10/10
Reggie’s team painted the outside of our three-bed detached house and garage. Careful, tidy and on time, and the smooth, clean finish has transformed the house. It came in on budget too.

Church exterior10/10
Reggie came out the same afternoon I called and priced the job there and then. It was a big outside job on an old white church with a lot of flaking paint to patch, and the team kept going through mixed weather to a very high finish.

Feature wallpaper10/10
It is hard to find a decorator who will take on wallpaper, let alone a complicated pattern, but they made a beautiful job of it, kept everything tidy and charged a fair price.
